Anxiety started up again due to letter from docs...

Ive got two lumps, had biopsy on large one and scans on both, i was told after that both are lipomas but the large one should be taken out.. Ive just received a letter from hospital saying that the sarcoma unit have decided i should have an mri scan. My anxiety has now gone into overdrive and im convinced its cancer although the scans said they werent... Why do i need an mri.. Terrified now..

I had lumps to a few years ago in different parts of my body and they turned out to be harmless, I still have them and now I don't even think about them. You need to ask the doctor why you need an MRI scan, it might not be anything to worry about so call the doc and have your mind put at ease.

Thank you Jimtom, I will, it was an unexpected letter after the last saying all was ok. It wasnt worded very cleverly, informing me the Sarcoma dept have requested an MRI.. just freaked me out. My brain has now covered all scenarios since then!! tut. xxx

Yeah, I would of probably felt better getting the letter on the Friday then I could rung them up, instead Ive had the weekend stewing and upsetting myself about it.. Anxiety is evil on the mind. Thank you. xxxx
