Hello all, I just picked up my next med to try. Anyone have any good stories on taking zoloft? ATM I am still paranoid to take anything and am skeptical about trying anything. Any words of wisdom out there?

I took Zoloft from ages 16-28. It worked well for me. Trying Prozac now with Wellbutrin and Buproprion (I think?) as needed. Seems to be working.
Remember that it is highly individual. Just because others doing fine with them doesnt mean it will apply to your condition and how your mind will respond to them. Test them out...chances are you will feel worse for a couple of weeks in order to make your body adjust. Common sideeffects are wheight gain and loss of sexual drive. If you dont feel better after some months you have to quit by consulting your doctor. There is no way you should quit cold turkey. Remember that pills alone doesnt fix anything. Diet change..KBT..EXERCISE in small amount and sleep are key factors to accept and reduce stress factors. Study the effects of Cortisol and how to keep it low and you will get better. Chillout!
I have been on Zoloft 150mg for 5 weeks and am doing much better I continue to see improvement. Side effects I had where nausea, diarrhea, and small increase in anxiety but this wore off after 2 weeks at my current dose. I started at 50mg and upped dose every 5 days until I reached 150mg. My psychiatrist states that 150-200mg is the effective dose for anxiety. Lower doses are better at treating depression. Good luck and stay strong.. remember the side effects won't last.
