Hi Good Afternoon. I hope your day has been peaceful so far. How many of you with derealization/depersonalization wear prescription eye glasses?

I was on a site with old posts from like 2006. The people on the site were posting about DP and DR saying how it seems to be much more sensitive when they wear glasses compared to when they take their glasses off but I just thought it was weird how everyone on the site wore prescription glasses.

I actually seen that site. I have been taking my glasses off a lot and it helps.

I actually got new glasses ( new prescription) when I had this symptom 8 years ago. I remember thinking it did nothing at the time but who knows? I need new glasses now, I wonder if this would help with my ocassional foggy vision thing. Sometimes I do take my glasses off and it does seem to help!

I find it interesting. I feel much better with my glasses off. For almost a year I was without glasses and never felt this. I just started wearing my glasses again last October, was always feeling off balance with them on, found out in March my prescription was wrong. My first episode of DR was in October and it lasted one day, then it came back in January for good. It's easing up a little

Did it come back with your new prescription? I have been thinking about having to get new glasses but it's just one more thing on my plate and I am so exhausted. I need bifocals but won't be getting those due to dizziness I will get 2 pairs, one for just computer and reading stuff, I needed new glasses for a while now, before my anxiety, foggy vision, dizziness thing started so not sure if correlated but I guess it won't hurt to see better.
