It can take a while for them to return to normal. I'm about 80% recovered but still have rebound anxiety due to my nerves being amped up for so long. Something small like a loud bang or pain can send me downhill quick. It happened today in fact. I felt good for the past week really and I woke up sweating and on edge from the wind blowing trash cans over. That one incident made me as bad as ever. I'm fine now but it was a reminder that my nerves got a long way to go.

Just know at some point you won't be. It may be awhile but it will subside.
