So I am suppose to break my pill in half but it's impossible because it's so small any suggestions?

Hi Sfqueen, if the pill is round, I use a pill cutter from the drug store which holds it in place. Or.... you can use a double edge blade to half it. No matter which one you use, it tends at times to crumble or not break evenly. If it's oval shape a blade is the only thing you can use.

Just a head's up.... the pill isn't time released is it? Those cannot be cut. I looked at a picture of Buspar and it doesn't look like you would have any trouble. Did the doctor tell you to cut it in half? Just so he knows your dosage.

I'm sorry, I don't know. My dose is once a day at lunchtime.

Good. My dose is 15mg so I have to cut a 20mg pill.

First in half which equals 10mg and then cut the other 10mg

in half equaling 5mg. I'm glad you got the pill cutter.

Check with your doctor as to how many times a day to take it.

He may want a certain dosage in you per day.

Mines are only 5mg and only half a day she wants to start slowly since I freak pot worn the other ones.. Did you have any side effects?

Not that I remember, I started 5 years ago while on other meds too. Now that is the only med I'm on for anxiety and it has given me no symptoms at all.

It is an antidepressant but works well on anxiety. I hope it works for you too.

I read where Lexapro is well tolerated by patients and is used for depression

as well as GAD.

I had another anxiety attack last night my heart wouldn't stop pounding I think it might be the buspar this is the 3rd time is happens in middle of the night I had to take Ativan which I hate doing but I had no choice now I feel sad depressed tired.. I wonder if is something else going on with my heart
