OK this is day 3 on Prozac and im suffering severe nausea. Very sick feeling. My doctor said it will pass in a week or two.
I forgot to ask him if I can take Pepto to help the nausea side affect until this passes. Has anyone found relief from side affects when starting and ssri
I do not know, but i have a curious question about Prozac, is it helping you? And do you need to take it for a lot of time?
I just started Prozac 3 days ago and I'll be honest I have no clue yet. The first 2 days was ok but today has been horrible. With nausea. I made the mistake of taking a Pepsid Ac later on the day forgetting that Pepsid causes me to be real sick and gives me very bad headaches so i messed up.
I can'treally confirm the prozac is working since it's been only 3 days. My buddy told me he felt great after 2 weeks and the side affects lasted about 2 weeks.
I'm praying for the best. I wish I never took that Pepsid Ac as it has added to the sickness

Dealing with nausea was probably the worst side effect for me. If you're still nauseous then please don't put up with it any longer. Get your Dr to prescribe Maxalon or Maxolon. It's an anti-nausea tablet and works reasonably well. It will however make you tired so please be very cautious particularly when driving.
No longer taking Prozac. I am on lexapro. prozac was terrible. Was having bad thoughts. Zero help with symptoms, very sick taking it. Throat burning. Couldn't breath felt like someone choking me
