Hi Cheryl, I went from 100mg up to 150mg about a year ago as I felt it wasn't working for me. No side effects for me, it was just nice to feel the Sertraline working again within a cpl wks x
Hi Sarah
Thank you so much for answering me
I have been in Setraline for about 5 yrs and had awful side effects when I started them but after a month I felt so much better and was so relieved, but in the last few months I have been worrying about my health for no apparent reason and my kids like you do
And I can feel my old ways coming back so my dr upped my dose to 150 ml but have been hesitant to take it until today, but now I'm panicking about the side effects !!😬 xx
I was also worried the side effects would come back, but they didn't.
1yr on and I'm at the point that I feel the Sertraline is losing its effect again. Went to the docs & I think she was reluctant to increase me to 200mg, understandably. So she's put me on Propranolol (beta blockers). They're sort of taking the edge off. Need to see doc again in a cpl wks to see how I'm doing.
When my Sertraline felt as if it wasn't working last year I got really paranoid and thought they'd given me a placebo to test me lol 🙄 x
I was prescribed beta blockers but I won't take them!
I have woke up this morning after increasing my doe last night and I woke up sweating and my head is killing me,do you think I should keep going with the 150 today will be my 2nd day of taking them, how long does an increase take to start working ??
What are you going to do are the beta blockers working that well, will you increase to 200 if your not feeling better ?? Xx
Why won't you take the beta blockers?
I was having an anxious day yesterday, so I took two 40mg beta blockers, and they did calm me down & physically relaxed me.
Try & stick with the higher dose, you already know that the side effects don't last forever. Within a couple of weeks I was feeling the benefits of the higher dose x
I've just recently made friends with my Sertraline.I know they help me get through my day.
Don't feel like an idiot Cheryl, everybody needs help sometimes. Befriend your meds, see them as positive and not as your enemy x
Thank you for all your replies Sarah it means a lot to hear from someone else going through the same, and sound like a good way of thinking about the meds!
I'm just annoyed that I've been in them for 5 yrs and I've stsrted feeling liked his all over again, not quite as bad as I was but its just not nice
And I hope your ok xx
