teemarie, my anxiety is at it's worse every single morning for years. I never seem to get a break from waking up scared to death. The only thing that has changed is my way of handling it through relaxation techniques, deep breathing and getting out of bed soon after. There are still tears but also some anger in this going on for so long. The good thing is that it calms down by afternoon and evening is like I never knew anxiety.

teemarie, I really think that is playing a big part in what you are going through now. The withdrawals is one thing but adding that to our anxiety symptoms just becomes overwhelming. I was reading about Prozac being a good drug to get off of because of it's long half life, it doesn't leave you stranded by immediately cutting the dose from your body. It kind of mellows out slowly. I truly believe that the anxiety over all this is what is causing your symptoms to continue. I've been there myself. I have a feeling that once you see the psychiatrist next week and he explains what happened, I think then and only then will the symptoms disappear. I still hope that you will feel better sooner. Take care dear, will keep you in my thoughts. xx

Yes, mornings are hellish for me too. I also have depression 😢 I only manage to settle and feel 'normal' by around mid-afternoon. Late afternoon and evenings I'm generally okay.

I need to find a way to deal with morning anxiety the instant I open my eyes. I believe it's generally referred to as "anticipatory" anxiety. Cheers.

I'm always in a state in the morning with loose bowels . Nothing to get anxious about but my insides don't seem to know that. I have had this problem over 40 years , have tried every medication possible . Doctor has put me on Prozac which has been the best med. so far . I also tried an over the counter drug called Phenergan which is a antihistamine which if you take it at night has a sedative effect and you get a great sleep. It has changed my life totally . Very cheap to,buy and my g.p gave me the thumbs up . When you suffer you will try anything so it's well worth trying .

If you do decide to give it a try ,the pharmacist might ask why you want it so just say it's for travel sickness . Hope it works for you .

Dreadful life to lead with this debilitating illness and you think you are the only one . Good to know there are loads of people in the same boat . Shona 😃
