Being an anxiety sufferer for many yrs now i think ive experienced every symptom possible. Recently my biggest problem is with sore and aching muscles especially in my lower back and neck. I have had balance issues for a long time but i am sure tension is contributing to this. When i press, rub or try and massage my neck it feels sore, almost like a bruised feeling and also tender even into the back of my head. This causes headaches, eye strain and as i said dizziness or unsteadyness. Does anyone else get this? I have been reading about swedish massage which is meant to be great for getting rid of cortisol and uric acid out of muscles which i think is whats causing them to be sore through being tense all the time with my anxiety. Has anyone found massage useful? Ive never had one before but will give it a try if people think it helps....or any other tips to ease my muscle pain would be great. Thanks! X

I know the feeling around the neck and head area, it's been bothering me lately, and I was also recommended to go to a massage parlor, I haven't ever been to one but it couldn't hurt, besides if it leaves me feeling relaxed from all this horrible mind tensions it might be a worthwhile experience.
I think I'm the only person who does not find relief from deep massage. It leaves me feeling bruised. Reiki or gentle massage works better for me.
