I've been suffering with this for the past six months. Have spoken to the GP about it they are unsure. I put it down to stress and anxiety because it tends to occur when things are stressful. It can be very scary thought
Hi Kim, just wanted to say that this is extreeeeeemly common. In some cases may relate to sleep apnea. Maybe you should try to sleep with a lower pillow. To many pillows cause a bent neck in the night. This works for my partner who has been waking up with a choking sensation and gasping for air for at least the 20 years we've been together on and off!
I'd suggest a visit to your family Dr. It sounds alot like sleep apnea. Your Dr. Can order a sleep study for you and clear up any confusion as to if this is the problem. Hope you find out fast as this needs to be addressed quickly!
