Acid reflux

Does anyone suffering from acid reflux find that coffee and such makes it worse as I've had two cups of coffee this morning and my chest hurts??

Yes absolutely, I get acid reflux and coffee is the enemy for it! Coffee is a well known digestive irritant for people with reflux. I remedy mine with ginger tea with a squeeze of lemon and 1 tsp of honey.

Yes I have it because i have achalasia acid reflux i think is what started my asthma attack eating the wrong foods not drinking enough water to flush thingd down and not taking my omeprazole ant acids cause then I breathe in fumes from esophagus which helps close the airways in my lungs plus smoking Its hard but certain foods and drinks must be avoided or taken in moderation. Hope that helps.

I sometimes get burning in the upper stomach after drinking coffee (and that's decaf)

So it's not the caffeine, it's the oils in the coffee bean.
