Hi. Sorry to hear of your situation. That sounds like a not very good doctor to me. Even if you have been to him many times it is not right for him to take that attitude. Your post is a little short on info about what it is you are having to cope with in terms of physical and/or emotional distress. Have you been to hospital for any tests for example? Are you taking medication for anything? Are you in therapy? Sorry for so many questions which, of course, you dont have to answer. I am just a bit unclear as to what your true situation is and what advice might be offered to best help you. The one thing I do know is that if my doctor said that to me he would be dropped the same day. We expect our doctors to provide at least comfort, even if they dont have all the answers. If you are in real bad pain you can always go to the emergency section of the hospital for help, even if it turns out to be nothing serious. You are entitled to proper health care.

Thank you for the info. Seems clear then that anxiety is the main issue for you. As you dont want to take any medication and you are waiting to start therapy, the only suggestion i can make is that you try and develop some techniques to help you cope with the anxiety. Distraction techniques are the most obvious. The more you have to occupy your mind, the less chance of the anxiety triggering a panic attack. It would be helpful for you if you kept a record of when and where you get the worst anxiety or panic attacks. This will help identify the triggers and make it a bit easier to avoid those situations.
