Feeling like I'm going to stop breathing! So scared!!

Does anyone else ever get a feeling like their body is going to stop breathing, it is usually followed by an adrenaline surge. Usually happens when I'm falling asleep and I jump awake panicking! But tonight it happened while I was relaxed and watching tv. It's so scary! 😔

Hiya 😊 not sure if its the same but ive had times where I'm falling asleep and its like my heart suddenly restarts with a jolt...i dont think it has, its just part of the anxiety. Ive also felt that if i dont firce myself to breath that I'll just stop. I have a lot of instances where i feel I'm about to fall / faint and all of a sudden my heart pounds and i get a surge of adrenaline. You're not alone hun x

Yes very scary. Thought I was going to die on many occasions thinking I wouldn't wake myself up to make myself breathe. Paxil has made it better except when I'm really stressed
