DR didn't prescribe meds

I went to my Dr today and sure enough I was diagnosed with social anxiety.. I was referred to a psychologist and was also given some exercises to do at home.. I hope soon I start feeling better

Some people prefer meds,but they have lots of side effects,better having psychotherapy meds can solve a problem for short time and are addictive

I just spent an evening at emergency room for psych patients... Mainly due to not having proper anxiety meds. But I'm not a doc. Maybe something else is wrong.

What I am getting at is I wish I had never ever been put on any psych med 18 years ago.

I was gang raped whilst pregnant and lost my life for awhile. Someone thought pill s would help. They don't, IMO .

The side effect, the extra costs, the slow soul sucking void that happens as the meds take hold is insidious. I believed these men were helping. I was in crisis.

But every pill needed a boost, in seemed to worsen as time went on.

Plus society treats mentally ill people different, hell the pill s makebu different. In the firstb6 years I was on 44 meds. At different times... But I averaged 4 at any time

I've changed my brain. My kid lost her mom. I'm fighting to be treated seriously by regular docs. They see the meds and think I am an addict. Who gets addicted to a mood stabilizer lol?

My anxiety has gotten so high that I chewed a hole thru my tongue! Yet I can't get help with it because I'm not sick enough!l
