Anxiety gas
Ive found that when you panic, you take in and swallow more air, which js generally alleviated through burping or other forms. You could try a teaspoon of baking soda in water. It is an absorbent and helps with stomach acid, but it also works like soda pop, and makes you burp. Dont drink it super fast. A couple sips every now and then. And try not to breathe rapidly or inhale a bunch of extra air.
It also could maximize the problem if ypu are focusing on it. I suggest you try and divert your attention and see if that makes it lighten up.
I second this! I tend to feel very nauseous when I'm experiencing an episode of anxiety and find that a soda (sprite is my poison) not only settles my stomach a little bit but also makes me burp. I don't want to sound crude but burping (discreetly!) actually helps so much, weird as it may sound..
Oh wow, I never thought about gas being linked to anxiety. I had my first episode in my teens. I was in so much pain, couldn't move. After three days of suffering it felt like a boxer had hit my stomach non-stop for all that time. 20 yrs later I still hAve episodes like that occassionally. Maybe like less than 10 severe cases. I have learned the beginning feeling of it and now try to stop it in it's tracks. I find what works amazing is the pill called Phazyme. It is unbelievable. I take two extra strength and it works in a matter of minutes. I could not live without these pills. I hope they are available wherever you may be. Give them a try.
