New to site

Hi my name is Nikki and I have had anxiety most of my life but never really realized it until recently.... I got very sick this past march with pneumonia and developed health anxiety and panic attacks....trips to ER and All that jazz... Doing therapy chiro massage etc.... I was put on lexapro recently and am doing a lot better but I still have very bad morning anxiety and when I shower and anticipating the shower not sure why.... I'm trying so hard to get rid of the constant worry of when or if I will have a another panic attack please help is there a cure for this!

    I'm sorry your having to deal with all this but the morning anxiety is very common. All you can do is try n distract yourself. Do deep breathing. Breathe in through your nose for 2 then out through your mouth for 4

    Go outside get some air or try reading a book. Writing in my journal helps me a lot.

  • Hello there and welcome. I'm sorry you are going through a rough time right now. Take it 1 day at a time. Panic attacks are scary and thinking about them too much can often trigger one. Try and find something that relaxes you, a nice walk, bath, talking to a friend, meditation, etc. I wish I could say there is an easy fix, but the reality is that there isn't. It's important to know that you will be ok, you just have to find what works for you to ease your anxiety.
