Its been hard lately before i couldnt get a bus or underground.. I had a new job at a family friends house and i couldnt get to work i got to the train station and completely bottled it, however since then ive pushed myself ive got on one bus the journey was about 15 mins and 3 under ground trains in the space of two days.. However i was with my boyfriend so i felt safer i will try by myself soon but should i feel proud ? Deep down i know i couldnt do this by myself yet.. Does anyone else fear public transport badly and how did you over come it or even attempting to? Love to all sammy xxxx

Hi Sammy , well done, yes you should be very proud of your self , even if it has been with your boyfriend, little strides at a time thats what its about, no rush to do on your own, in your own time you will. and from there bigger strides you will do. I don't use public transport, but as outside is a bit of a problem for me, I no I could not do the bus, I can do my car though
Love

Thank you bonnie <3 i will keep trying anyway but just dont feel proud xxx
Hi Sammy, you have made the first step and that is what is most important.... be very proud of yourself. Several months ago I wouldn't go anywhere without my husband, he even came to my first counselling session. My psychologist told me it's all about small steps and not to look at the big picture as it's too scary.
So you imagine leaving home, after you have done that , getting on the bus and so on. Not so frightening that way.
I am pleased to say now I go grocery shopping and can do things on my own. Took a while but it happened. As it will with you.... just small steps , build up your confidence and you will be ok.
AND, make sure you recognise your achievements and be proud. All the very best, Julie xx
Thank u julie glad to hear your better than before xxxxx
Sammy, you've done good, girl!
Take a next step forward when you feel you can...
Would it be possible to just plan a really short bus or tube journey by yourself but knowing your boyfriend, or someone, will be at the stop where you get off waiting for you? Just maybe a 10 minute journey... nothing too scary?
Be happy that your first steps have been good so far x x
