Had a good day myself - managed to get out with my boyfriend to a local butterfly hot-spot - hundreds of them ... including lots of chalkhill blues (which aren't in walking distance) as well as common blues, meadow browns, brimstones, whites, gatekeepers, peacocks, tortoiseshells, red admiral - a sliver wash fritillary, a marbled white (more or less finished now) and at least one clouded yellow (rare migrant) - saw one on Sunday when I wasn't with the boyfriend and he was really jealous so feels a lot better now. This evening I went out on my own for a walk and saw more common blues, peacocks, whites as well as some brown argus and a couple of small coppers (there the one's that sit in the grass shouting "hello! hello! what's going on here then in squeaky voices :)). I don't often see small coppers in that area so it was a real treat. There was also a small blue - yesterday I saw 6 of them and a painted lady that wasn't around today. There is something really calming about looking for butterflies.

Hi Gambit, yesterday wasnt a great day but i received a few cards and wishes from friends so cant complain, i'm happy you got out and saw some beauty of life, hope you enjoy more days to come xxx
