If only it would go

Anybody on here suffer with headaches constantly every day.

Yes, I do and have done for about 10 years. Most mornings I wake up about 4 o'clock (am) with a bad head but take two anadin and go back to bed. Mostly they go away. I did tell my doctor who gave me some other tablets but they didn't work and she didn't have any other ideas, so i gave up. A lot of my headaches i think are from anxiety and the tension it brings. On holiday for example i have days when i don't take anything at all but it's a different matter when i'm at work. I sometimes find if i take the painkillers and they don't work, if i get up early and take the dog for a walk, having to think about something else for a bit also helps. I suffer from Migraines occasionally and have tablets from my doctor to take for them but otherwise i rely on over the counter pain killers. I'm not happy about it because of the effect asprin can have, but it's the only way i can keep going & ibuprofen don't work for me.

If I'm stressed I get a headache every day, I find they're worst when my blood pressure is high. I also get them if I don't wear my reading glasses! and once one starts I find it really hard to get rid of. If you are getting a headache every day you should go and see your GP. I had a colleague once who took painkillers everyday and then was told by the GP that she was addicted to them, and she had to wean herself off them, they were actually causing the headaches? I would get it checked out just to reassure yourself x
