Anxiety..?

I am new to this site, but I'm hoping someone may be able to offer some advice. My 11 year old daughter was diagnosed diabetic last year in November. From about Feb time I have increasing anxiety issues, thumping headaches,palpitations major health worries and constant worries about my own mortality. Gp put me on Citalopram 20 mgs but only just started taking them. Feel as if i'm going mad, feel so worn out with it all x

Sorry to hear about your daughter , as a parent we don't want anything to be wrong with our children , this may have been a trigger of your anxiety

Your symptoms are of anxiety , but you are not going mad , even though I no it can feel that way & yes it is the most draining thing there is & makes you feel so worn out , but we can & do get better as you may have seen in some of the positive blogs , but it takes time

Your meds will take a few weeks to work , so try not to feel anxious as they wont take affect straight away , but hopefully when they do , they will start to help with how you are feeling

Keep using the site , everyone knows how you feel , you will get lots of support , some great people & as you may have seen , we even have a laugh from time to time as well as been serious when its needed

thank you whywhy.....feel quite distressed with it all. So want to get better, but I hate living life feeling so anxious and miserable.
