I believe its a virus and is the adult form of chicken pox............ or something relating to chicken pox........... very painful and can hang around for quite some time.........

If you suspect you have it , I think you need to see your gp!!

Thanks for replying, not sure have had painful neck and headaches going up from neck for a few weeks, and last night I have come up with a few bumps where the neck pain is? Will get it checked out tomorrow. Jeeesh, just something else to get anxious about.

I think they would look more like blisters & would be red & itchy

See your GP , try not to worry , could be nothing , I am always getting things , but 9/10 its nothing

Yes , it is usually when an adult has been in contact with a child who has had chicken pox ...like anne says can be nasty in an adult , so should seek medical advice

May I add not life threatening , but you would need to speak to a GP

Yeah as whywhy says its not life threathening , just painful........ i have seen it and you get a red rashy area, I think sometime blisters too,,, but what I saw didnt look like normal chicken pox......

Nothing to worry too much about though.......
