started new medication

Started mirtrazapine for sleep, man it knocked me out but I woke up feeling like a zombie and panicked that I don’t want to feel this way forever and that I was stuck! But I repeated that panic attacks can’t hurt me and can only make me feel uncomfortable and it passed like it always does. Thinking I’ll cut my dose in half tomorrow night. I have a sense right now that I feel in a better place to challenge my negative thoughts which is nice.

I have used mirtazapine 7.5mg every night and slept great. I now only use as needed as it caused me to gain weight.

I started at 15mg last night and I felt like a zombie in the morning! Might try 7.5 tonight and see. This was only prescribed to be used as needed I have celexa for daily use. The buspar was rejected by my pharmacy because of drug interactions with specifically the mirtrazapine.
