experiencing some anxiety

hi everyone!

Today I have been pretty dizzy. I’ve been eating and drinking water. The weather is getting warmer here so maybe it is my allergies or sinuses? I hope so. I’m feeling pretty anxious especially because I’ve had several students out and I’m worried I have flu. I have no fever and no congestion or sore throat. Just dizzy and tired, but I have had a long week. I’m going to get into bed early this evening. I’m just experiencing a lot of anxiety as I hate feeling dizzy. It’s scary and makes me scared I’ll throw up or that it means I have some sort of illness

Daisy, your right, it could be allergies. It's that time of year. I had to start my Flonase last week and it helps. I'm glad you have the weekend to rest. 🥰

I recently got over the flu (despite having a flu shot) and the first symptom was a quite noticeable fever. A good night's sleep is probably the best remedy.

I’m so glad you are getting over it! I’ve never had the flu

If you have the flu, I think you would notice it. First, as I mentioned, there is a definite fever, exhaustion (barely able to get out of bed), sore throat, coughing, body aches. The flu can make you feel really, really sick. x

I’m just really hoping this isn’t the start of it. I do think I forgot to take my Zoloft yesterday so maybe that’s causing this

The real flu tends to come on quickly. You would feel as if you have been hit by a truck. Also, dizziness can be very unsettling. I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I, too, was a teacher, and Friday nights were the best, because I could come home and sleep and/or go to bed early. Hope you feel better soon!

For other reasons--Menieres'--I have been dizzy 24/7 now for 3 months so I know the anxiety and deepression it can lead to when it doesn't go away. I learned to take walks even though it is still winter in Chicago.

Hi Daisy! I’m sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well and it’s making your anxiety worse. Have you tried drinking a liquid IV or some emergency or both? When I get dizzy, my mom always tells me to lie down with my legs up on a pillow. It helps to get the blood flowing back to your head. I hope you feel better soon!

sometimes I get dizziness when I miss a dose of certain medications. I say this since you mentioned missing your Zoloft. I had a blood pressure medication that I missed and I felt like I was constantly unstable/dizzy. Very weird sensation.

Same, I hated the dizziness, nearly as bad as heart palpitations. I found that extra sleep really helps it, almost stops it really, along with not fearing your becoming because that sends off fear chemicals in your body and causes more dizziness. They call thus second fear...ever heard of that?
