Hi there. I was a frequent user here a year or so ago and luckily I managed to get a grip of my health anxiety for a while but it’s back with a vengeance. I noticed yesterday very slight swelling in my right foot. It’s not sore or red or warm to touch and it’s only around my foot it’s doesn’t spread anywhere. Around 2 months ago I had the same thing but it vanished. I asked friends and family and they basically told me to move more and it could be fluid build up. I’ve been pretty stressed recently I moved from Aberdeen to Edinburgh due to finding out my long term partner was having an affair for a very long time and during a period of my life where I had open surgery to remove a giant cyst from my ovary. I’m not registered with a dr yet here in Edinburgh but I’m freaking about this slight swelling in my foot. Just before Christmas too ☹️ I feel like ontop of everything my days going to be ruined because it’s all I can think about 😭
sorry for such a long post and thank you for any responses xxx

Hello Littlechopsxxo: Needless to say, the loss of your partner, extremely painful when a lover leaves for another person, and when you were most vulnerable during surgery and convalesence, well, suffice it to say that that event is likely much more painful than the problem with fluid buildup in your foot. For that, time to visit the G.P.! I'm aware of big issues with NHS (?) in the U.K. Can you find urgent care?
Thank you for responding! All my family and friends have said that they don’t think it warrants a trip to see the GP! So I’m in 2 minds as I don’t want to waste anyone’s time but not knowing is killing me!
Waste anyone's time? This is about you and your anxiety. My advice: Get to the GP and get some relief! Your family and friends are not very empathetic.
