muscle and eye twitches

Hi there,

i havent posted here in awhile, but continue to monitor and support the others in the community. Today I am reaching back out for support and ease of mind?

For the past month or more I have been experiencing eye twitches pretty frequently on the right eye (top and bottom eyelid) and some other twitches (lips, right cheek, abdomen, etc.)

These things aren't unusal but I have seem to have tuned into them quite frequently and it's worrying me. I went to the eye doctor and he said the eyelid twitching is normal and hoping my new script helps, which two days in, still lots of twitches.

Anyways, trying to give it time and not worry about these twitches but also worry it could be something worse (parkinsons, MS, all the worriesome online ideas).

appreicate anyone who has gone through this and if there are any tips/tricks/vitamins to help.

Hi SportsGuy17, I am not a doctor and can only go by my own symptoms at times.

Simply stated, Anxiety can cause muscle twitching because of hyperventilation.

That's usually the first sign that you are hyperventilating. Practicing your breathing

may help calm your mind and inner body..

Of course, always see a physician to rule out any physical causes for this. xx

I gotbthat same symtoms from taking zanax meds,had to stop, was only after taking meds,my eyes twitched n shakes, maybe read meds side effects. .

If you have a psych care provider I would talk to them about these symptoms and see if they could be related to any of the meds or supplements you are taking. I know a few anti-anxiety/antidepressant meds have twitching as a common side effect
