Thx for this on cognitive Distortions. I was only aware of maybe 20 but this list is encompassing and even touches our current exposure and impact with social media!

Based on my Job I'd say that I suffer from a little bit of all of them in some form....biggest 2 for me I'd say are overgeneralizing and of course catastrophising..you learn to adapt and overcome,,,

When I studied CBT, there were only 11 cognitive distortions in the book. Since then, they’ve done more research and so forth, but I think many of them are slight variations on others.

My favorites appear to be mind reading, fortunetelling, catastrophizing, and disqualifying the positive. I really do have to remind myself that so many of the things I have been anxious about never happened or turned out much better than I expected.

Mark Twain once commented that he had been through hundreds of disasters during his life, most of which never actually happened.
