Withdrawal from Effexor ANXIETY

I am wondering if anyone has come off Effexor and has suffered anxiety as a major symptom?

I have been on Effexor for 5 years, highest dose of 450mg at one point!!! I have been reducing this over the last 2 years I have slowly tapered off the drug and finally after being on 37.5mg I am off the drug altogether.

I has been two and a half weeks since I took my pill. I feel I have got over many of the typical symptoms and am getting much better, except that I am experiencing some intense anxiety, I am wondering if this is common for others and will it pass!!??? (I am sure it will)-

Congrats Soupy123! I've not come off of mine, but was at one point going to try and was told some of the withdrawal symptoms would be anxiety. So I'm assuming it's pretty normal, plus your body is still trying to adjust to life without it. Hope you continue to do well!

Hi Soupy123! Everybody is different. My experience with Effexor was mania.

yup, I had it bad. It was nice to observe and say wow knowing that the cause was all meds not my distorted thoughts 😆☮️
