Hi👋,What's happening here is that you have physically and mentally been on a holiday, in theory a good thing for your well-being.
On the other hand, if you are like me, you come back to the same situation you left so it doesn't take long to feel the feelings we desperately took a break from are back, sometimes worse because the holiday let down hits on top of everything else.😕
Take a few moments each day to reflect on good things in the holiday and relax as part of your usual self care.
Be extra kind to yourself but if you are really struggling, book a couple of therapy sessions to talk these holiday blues through & prevent falling into the hole of a depression episode.
A tip is to honestly rate your mood out of 10 for next 14 days. If it's consistently on the low side, 8 or below it's time to take action. 💜 🐈⬛
Just an update… I needed sleep. 17 hours of sleep and the feelings and thoughts settled down… seeing my therapist also helped. Also, I in no way thought my dog had anything to do with this - he is the best thing to happen to me!
