I have been suffering with debilitating health anxiety for a few months and it’s now started to affect my day to day life. I’m currently on 75mg of Sertraline (5 weeks in) but I haven’t felt any relief yet, I’m feeling very dizzy and spaced out and very on edge and anxious - wondering if a dose increase is needed? Only positive stories please I’m already a wreck as it is lol x

Hello CBullen. I would definitely call your provider and let them know your side effects. It takes 4 to 6 weeks usually for antidepressants to fully work, but side effects shouldn't linger on that long, especially if you can't function. I hope you can get some relief soon.
When it comes to our brains its seems the response to anti-depressants can be varied, hence the practice of trying different types if one doesn't work.
I would be inclined to speak with your GP/Provider and be very explicit in describing your symptoms, perhaps writing them down beforehand.
I'm sorry you're going through this.I've been taking Sertraline 100 mg and Clonazepam 1 mg for the past 21 years. In my experience, Sertraline alone has never been effective. I hope that taking 0.5 mg of Clonazepam will help relieve your anxiety within 15 to 20 minutes.
