new here & struggling with sleep...

I have bipolar and can't sleep... does anyone have any advice or ideas of things that would help besides just meds?

Best advice would be to find a counselor that deals with bipolar. In order to learn more about it and coping skills on how to regulate your emotions. Try to get on a schedule a routine for sleep. Like taking a nice cool shower before bed to relax you. Not using your phone before bed or tv. Maybe a sound machine if you need some kind of noise to sooth you into sleep.

I wish you healing and peace 🫂 ❤️

Thank you. That's helpful. 💖

I listen to meditation/self-hypnosis recordings before bed to help me relax and slow my brain down. Something with a body scan to help me get into my body and out of my head.

Is there a certain app you use? I have used the app Calm before. Maybe I should try using it again.

I've used the Calm app before... I currently just use YouTube, there are a number of different channels on there. I like Michael Sealy and Jason Stephenson.
