AlwaysSweet, it is very possible as well as probable that you will go into a
panic/anxiety attack through your thoughts. The mind is a powerful tool,
what we think is what we get.
Finding ways to downplay our thoughts to a more positive approach is
very helpful. You're not alone in this. xx
In answer to your question; YUP.Not fun.
It's been a while for me. Trying to meditate everyday, or at least trying to sit in quiet, helped me. I can think of nothing more frustrating than trying to talk yourself down logically & with patience while you're also tensed so badly that it physically hurts & your mind is literally telling you to immediately run or hide ANYWHERE... and it's over panic that's not even happened yet.
not fun :/
Yes I do.
Yes. So much yes. I used to be an avid kayaker. Now I think about having a panic attack out on the water and it's terrifying enough to make my heart race and palms sweat. I'm trying to overcome this in therapy, but I'm still a work in progress...
Yes, ruminating over thoughts of getting a panic attack, the what ifs etc can kick start a panic attack.
I've also noticed at least for me that if I say to myself "Cmon bring it! Gimme a panic attack right now! I dare you, do it!" Nothing happens. So my brain is being funny with me. That's why anxiety is a lying butthole
My world has shrunk given my "adrenaline rushes." I don't like to call them attacks. I can feel the "Oh boy, here it comes" going into a triggering event. And the dump happens.
