Short story .i have learning disabiltiy never work didnt go to normal school...now i love walking always have , now many years ago my metal health went south and was put on meds ..my weight started to climb up ..i had policemen foot. Now im suffering from damage Achillies in left ankle i had threaphy ,laser treatment , PRP injection..now doctor tells me to reduce my walking so my ankle can heel , but this wont help me to lose weight .. i now beem told to do swimming to help with weight and give my ankle rest ..im also trying to watch what i eat and eat as healthy as i can ....im also on tablets cause i have high blood pressure ... high cols ...i feel like there is no end to my issue ... only joy i have is my two kids and i craft alot x take care everyone

Sorry you're having a hard time. If you can, try the swimming, it's great exercise. The best thing is to let your body heal so you can slowly get back to walking again. For now focus on your children and crafting. I wish you the best!

Swimming is the best exercise for leg problems, because you are not taking any weight on the ankle, and building up your tendons and muscles at the same time.

Swimming is also good for weight loss, as there is far more muscular effort involved as water is far more dense than air, and you need to push through it.

I say, Go for it!
