Hi, I've found using a lightbox to be helpful w depression, but I'm having a hard time getting myself to use mine. I have a goal of an hour a day, bc a half hour a day doesn't seem to be effective anymore. Anyone else want to do a daily check in about using one?

I use my light lamp everyday
Is that different from a light box?

Does it help?
Yes
The winter was horrible and the spring not much better, sun limited. The room is so bright it mimics the sun being out.
This is my first year with it and I feel like it made a difference

Do you know what bands it's supposed to have? I wonder if it's the same as my bird's sun lamp (5.0 UVB). The avian vet insisted any bulb to be used as a sun lamp had to be tested, as the output didn't match what the package claimed. She had some kind of gun that picked up readings.
I bet I could benefit from one of these.
I have a small light box -- 8" x 12". It's probably not as helpful as bigger ones. But It's next to my computer monitor, so I can work on the computer while I'm using it.
I also keep mine next to my computer, so I just turn it on and then forget about it while doing my thing. I suggest finding a place where you regularly sit for an hour and using it there.
Going to use mine tonight at 7 p.m. EST, while I'm at a Zoom event.
Used mine this morning.
I use a red light box. Recommended by Function Medicine doctor. It's supposed to get into your brain. It also diminishes wrinkles. Helps with my eye issues.
Good to know!
