I am so sorry, Mindfulness. That is a lot of work done, so at least you have hopefully ruled out the physical part of the equation. Is there a new situation in your life? Has something from your past come back to the forefront of your life? Has something physical happened that would affect hormones?☮️

Not that I’m aware of ! I was doing well until this just suddenly started happening it’s like I’m programmed everyday to have a panic attack! 😞

What's wrong is that your nervous system has become over sensitised by too much worry and anxiety. Only you know what caused that.Nervous sensitisation causes a whole host of unpleasant symptoms, including health anxiety, and panic attacks are indeed very unpleasant.

These anxiety symptoms make us think we have all sorts of terrible things wrong with us when it is in fact just our nervous system simulating real illness.

Panic attacks make you feel awful but they will not kill you, make you lose your mind or leave you with physical disabilities. They are imposters caused by the release of excess stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline.

You can recover from an over sensitive nervous system no matter how long and how deeply you have suffered. The way forward is based on understanding and implementing the method set out many years ago by Claire Weekes, known as the woman who cracked the anxiety code, which is: 'Face. Accept. Float. Let time pass.' Six words that have brought respite and recovery to millions throughout the world over the past 60 years.

'Self help for your nerves' by Doctor Claire Weekes also published under the title 'Hope and help for your nerves' available new or used from Amazon and E-Bay.

It's a life changer.

Hi Jeff, I bought the book and read it. GREAT book but I am stuck on the "float" part. I don't understand how to float. Maybe I'm just too keyed up to let go and float. Or is float another word for meditate in Australian? I noticed while reading the book that she uses some different slang words because she's Australian.

Float is to switch on to 'automatic pilot' and imagine yourself literally floating along through your day motivated by some invisible force.
