Hi everyone, I am new to the platform. I was diagnosed with GAD at a very young age and it has been hard to deal with as anxiety is a constant presence in my life as well as anxiety attacks/panic attacks. I recently moved and started a relationship with someone about 6 months ago and they have seen me have a multitude of anxiety attacks and it heavily affects them. I journal, I reframe my negative statements which are things that my previous therapist has told me but I spend my time now counting every time I don't have a dramatic anxiety attack until the day comes when I do and I feel terrible because my mental disorder hurts me and it affects my partner. I am scared and I feel alone as I don't know who to talk to. Does anyone have any advice on the management of their anxiety and how to operate in a relationship as someone who has an anxiety disorder? Thank you so much, everyone.

You will learn from those of us who have struggled with anxiety themselves.
My anxiety was so overwhelming that it presented me with 5 years of Agoraphobia
where I never left my home.
You can and you will eventually overcome these attacks as well as anxiety sensations
by learning to stop them before they have a chance to go into effect.
It is quite possible, with training your subconscious mind through Meditation.
Even when sleeping only 5% of our brain sleeps with us, the other is our subconscious
mind that plays over the day's events. Over and over until we wake up the next morning
believing in all the lies and negativities it tells us.
Your therapist was right in telling you to let go of negative thoughts and focus on positivity.
What better way in allowing you to learn as well as getting a good night's sleep by
listening to a positive, affirmative, self-hypnosis meditation.
Using this method 3 times a day can start the changes. Before bed, upon awakening
and a quick regenerative 5 min midafternoon. Consistency is the key to success.
I hope you will learn from this site and get well when the time is right for you xx
