I have been diagnosed with depression last year, and it always gets worse in winter. So I would like to find someone here who has been through similar situation to talk to, and do activities to help myself get better this winter.

I think that it’s usual for everyone to feel low during the winter months, unfortunately for people who suffer with depression this feeling is heightened and may seem worse. Winter is dark cold and generally wet and that is generally depressing where summer is warm and bright and that makes us feel cheerful.

Yes, most people feel low in winter. I'm going through depression and I'm actually from a tropical country, now living in a comparatively very cold country in Europe. So due to both these reasons like you said, it really gets worse. :(

Absolutely, you would probably feel it more than I do due to the fact that you are from a tropical country. The winter weather does get easier to deal with but it can still be depressing. I hope that you feel better soon and that the weather doesn’t get you down too much.

Have you heard of using a Happylight in the winter months? It mimics the sun since we get so much less sunshine in the winter. It won't make the depression go away, but it might help a little.

Hello I'm same winter I feel like staying in bed but feel better once up swimming helped me I'm looking to start it again 🤗and my Luma light and meditation CD before bed

Thank goodness we're past the winter solstice and we can soon start to notice the days lengthening. Always wear three layers of clothing when you feel the cold and try and keep your feet warm. I'm not going to pontificate; we all know the things that make us feel better.😊
