Hi It's my first day here.I found this platform while having a bad day, feeling very low and not knowing what to do.
I have occasional low moods where I can't do anything for a whole day except stare in space and feel sad and this is affecting me as a student.
I also have had suicidal thoughts a good number of times and am afraid to share it with anyone. This is because am afraid I will be treated as an outcast and bring shame to my family.(It is understood as being possessed by evil in my community).
Am here to try and fix my situation so I can just be like normal people.
Looking forward to a future filled with happiness.
Thank you😊

Hi 👋, it's good to reach out! I myself suffer with anxiety, depression and also OCD. Some days are really tough! I am going through a difficult time myself at the moment and have been signed off work. I find the more time I have to myself the worse my mental health becomes. I try and keep myself busy with things I enjoy like crocheting and dog walks. I think having a routine to your day is really important. I have definitely been there when all you want to do is sit there and do nothing because of how you feel, but even doing the smallest of tasks is a an achievement!
Make sure you always talk to friends and family. You've got this! Xxx
Thank you. When am in my home area( a less crowded town) I take long walks and it helps me feel better. At school in the city I usually just listen to music.
Welcome. I am happy you found your way to us. Please feel free to share anything with us. We are happy to listen and offer support. I am sorry you don't have anyone else to share it with. I hope that the support you get here will help you.
We are all here for you. I have found that leaning on the group ' as a whole' and knowing that you WILL receive help works wonders.
I can identify with much of what your said my dear. I jump on those thoughts of suicide right away by TELLING SOMEONE who won't judge, has has a similar experience and can provide support and available resources. There are many resources. Above all, don't beat yourself up!
Hi GoldenSavannah , I am glad you are able to speak out here. We are all here to support you. Seeing a doctor and therapist is also important if you are not already. Sending love your way.
