The Inherent Trap in Human Pairbonding

Don't fall in it. That's the moral of the story. I personally observed this connecting factor present in the neuroses of everybody I worked with during my days as a behavioral healthcare worker. I also observed it as a present connecting factor in my own neuroses in my own direct experience. Why must we Tell people that they will meet their Prince charming or Cinderella 1 day thus setting them up for a lifetime of feelings of inadequacy and failure if they do not meet these socially imposed expectations? Nowhere in any body's "mental health vocabulary" is room enough for even the slightest possibility of living a happy and fulfilled life alone. The advice we allways get (and give) is "oh you'll find somebody" and then you do and then you are miserable. "Get out while you still can" would be much more logical and rational and truthful and COMPASSIONATE "advice".👍
