I think I suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) and it has got much worse since I lost most. of trhe vision in my left eye and some peripheral vision in both eyes in 2021. I've seen some interesting reports into the recently discovered third set of photoreceptive cells in teh retina "photosensitive retinal ganglion cells" which are sensitive to blue light and do not directly contribute to vision, but do seem ro play a role in regulating the diurnal cycle and mood. Does anyone know more about this, and especially about any likely interaction with retinal damage (from a blood clot) or brain adamage affecting vision (from a haemolytic stroke)? Most especially does any intearction chaange the advisibility or appropriate method for light therapy?
