Anyone else have made a decision to protect you mental health and on the other hand you feel like you’ve fail?

Hi. I suffer from GAD and get panic attacks also from time to time. I find that keeping myself busy in doing various activities like gardening, cooking running, reading etc helps me in coping with my mental health issues.
I'm starting to realize I can't really prevent or eliminate anxiety but have to learn to manage it, function in spite of it and do things to lessen the impact of it. Sometimes I'm less successful. sometimes I do very well.
Remember self-compassion. What we deal with is very real and a diificult challenge. There are going to be ups and downs. The goal is to have many ups and fewer downs.
You may not feel like it but you are strong. Dealing with this "stuff" takes a lot more than many folks realize.
