health anxiety spiking bc of fever

I’ve had a fever and a cough for 3 days. Around 101. I’m miserable. I went to urgent care right away when I got the fever and I tested negative for Covid and flu. Chest X-ray came back normal. My husband and sister are mildly ill with cough but no fever. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning but I’m freaking out. Why do I have a fever? What’s wrong with me?? Has this happened to anyone else?

I had a cold/virus and had a low grade fever of 100. Ate soup, drank a lot of liquids, Tylenol and the fever went away. These things happen sometimes. U might have an infection. It’s good that U R going to the doctor. Hope that U feel better ❤️‍🩹 soon

It must be a viral fever,it usually gets better by one week

You are probably dealing with health anxiety which is quite common and could even have some OCD which can exacerbate it. You might check out the youtubes of Paige Pradko and The Anxiety Guy and also the DARE Anxiety youtubes for info on how to deal with it.
