acupuncture for anxiety

Hello everyone hope everyone is having a great day! I’m looking into getting acupuncture for my anxiety disorder (panic disorder). I was wanting to know if anyone has tried it, if so, what was your experience and did it work for you?

I had months of acupuncture years ago for my headaches, both migraines as well

as muscular contraction. The sensation was a deep intensive calm which not only

helped with my headaches but helped with my anxiety as well.

It is so well worth trying. I wish you my best :) xx

You know User, the other thing that i tried for Anxiety only was

Hypnotherapy. I was surprised at how well it worked as well as how

long those suggestions last. I still do self hypnosis on my own. :) xx

Sounds cool I’ll have to look into that! I was perceived two different medications but I never took them because I have a bad history with medication, so I try to stay away from that. But I’ll definitely look into that for a more holistic approach. Also did you have any residual effects of doing the acupuncture?

None whatsoever. Have you ever had Reiki done? That gave me a deep feeling

of peace and calm but unfortunately it doesn't last.

So much is out there. Not everything works for everyone but by trying different

things, you may just win the golden ticket lol xx Good Luck dear

I have used it with positive results. While one session helps short-term, it may take many weeks or months for longer term effects. And I always go back when I start feeling more anxiety creeping in again. ;-) Do keep in mind that the practitioner makes a big difference, so if you don't have great results the first time, don't be afraid to try someone else. Good luck!

Hi. When at work I used to use 'accupressure' (massaging acupuncture pressure spots with your fingers) when faced with difficult interviews or confrontations etc. I found this very effective. It's well worth investigating/researching.
