Partners worsens my mental health

Partner taunts my mental illness calls me crazy and said meds won't work. I have really bad anxiety and use marijuana to cope..along with meds for 10 years now.. and he has also threatened to take that source away from me. I am having a hard time dealing with this and deciding to end the relationship. I have asked for both of these things to stop but to no avail

I would find that very frustrating and threatening! To taunt you about having a mental illness and calling you crazy is very childish, as many people have mental health problems in the modern world. And to call you names leads me to believe he is either immature or doesn't want to be in a relationship with you. Also, medicines and psychotherapy have worked wonders for many people with mental health problems worldwide. Finally, threatening to take these medications away from you would frighten anyone!

(You don't mention being pregnant or nursing a child, which would change my opinion, as I don't believe a mother should nurse while on drugs to protect the child.)

Otherwise, I believe all your comments are valid, and your actions of leaving your partner make a lot of sense to me! That means you need to plan on going and plan a new life without him. And you need to take good care of yourself by eating well, sleeping enough, and talking to your therapist. Take care!

Hi if a situation or person makes you feel depressed and bad then you need to remove yourself from it them if possible I hope you can find a way forward and keep him her out your life this sounds like a misogynist relationship not always easy to find your confidence as he will have destroyed it but yul get it back when go,you need to take care of yourself 🤗

Dear friend,

Firstly, sorry to hear about your situation & I wanna tell you that you are very brave. Secondly, I would like to advise you that please let go of weed to manage your anxiety. Instead, rely only on medication and you can also try Yoga and Meditation. Right medications help 100% along with the right therapy. Lastly, I would like to mention that you're a special child of god and god hasn't given enough wisdom to all of them who taunt & threatens you about your condition. So, don't be disheartened, and stay strong because they have a problem, not you. Never lose hope and always remember that only you can help yourself. Nobody else but you because you know yourself better. Stay strong and you'll come up victorious.

Best!

Good luck! Sometimes we need to go through awful times before it gets better but the struggle is worth it. Keep advocating for yourself and a better quality of life

Sounds like this toxic person has to be purged from your Life. I won't say you CAN'T get better without getting rid of them...but it CERTAINLY won't help you move forward in your own journey.

I can't use antidepressants at all. Been suffering with treatment resistant depression and anxiety since my teens...I'll be 50 next year. I've been on 3 different ones over the years and they've all ended up with me being worse off in the long term. Unfortunately Psyche Meds/antidepressants EFF me up worse than the depression that they're supposed to help.

In Feb '22 I started TMS treatment, Ketamine infusions and Ive used medical marijuana daily for almost 16 yrs cuz I'm in a legalized recreational state and I microdose with Psilocybin 🍄 and follow a regular diet of whole foods, exercise everyday 4-5 miles and keep a regular sleep pattern, I suffered from horrible bouts of bed ridden depression where I could berely function outside of making it to work.

There's a ton of truth in the cliche recommendations that we've all heard over the years. I didn't really believe it until I made the lifestyle changes necessary to achieve progress in healing and helping myself grow. I only made progress after getting help from TMS 17 months ago. My journey is still at the beginning...but I'm hoping to help others like myself that are struggling with depression and anxiety to KNOW that you're not alone and that there ARE treatment options out there that can help if pills don't!!

Ask me about TMS of you're interested. I included a Link to the TMS Ketamine clinic I go to in NV. It's got a lot of good info to read about TMS and Ketamine infusions for depression and anxiety.
