I was in a scenario working on something with some teenage girls. Playing golf. I said something like Good Job Girls and the room went silent. It was hard not to feel like a creep. I was just giving a compliment. Does someone have some insight into this situation.

Hi
Did you ask the girls?
🐬
I didn’t know them well enough to
Having just watch my niece and nephew go through high school and now to college, all I can say is I'm afraid for when my girls become teenagers! Like holy cow! The only thing I could think of is you using the word "girls" instead of just saying nice job. However if that was the issue, the need to get over it. Actually they need to get over themselves. My niece and nephew could really only think of themselves until really half way through college. Around age 20 they both seemed to want to be back and part of the family. If anyone out there has a recipe for dealing with teen girls, please tell me! I've got tweens right now and it can be drama central some days.
Maybe if you called them Chicks it would have been more acceptable. 😁
