I want to start by thanking you a for your support. It truly has meant so much to me and it has helped me so much.
This afternoon I fly home from my trip. It’s only a two hour flight. I’m having a lot of anxiety this morning and I’m not sure why. I’m nauseous but I know I need to eat before the flight. I’m also scared I’ll get home and this anxiety will continue.

Here.. It's hard for me to help ATM, because I still struggle with Severe GAD, and I have A LOT of work still do on my recovery. (and one of my biggest hangups is looking or sounding like a hypocrite)
.
But this isn't about me, and while I suffer pretty bad with my anxiety, I'm kinda decent (or at least I try to be) in the support person role, but for the record I'm still struggling. (let's just get that out of the way)
.
Alright, so (again) this is about you.
Let's take everything that is going on in your mind, and let's focus on one thing and one thing only.
The airplane trip, and getting you home. (this is what your focus needs to be ATM)
So let's make sure that you have your ID, purse, tickets, meds, phone, luggage, ETC all in eyesight and in reach.
Let's make sure that you have your phone charged.
If you have earbuds, listening to music on the way home will be a nice mind distractor.
If you don't have earbuds, see if there is a store (preferably a dollar store) but any store that sells cheap earbuds that you can connect to your phone.
Finding something that you can read as will probably also be helpful. (unless you feel like napping on the plane, that works too)
But the focus is getting home safe and as relaxed as possible.
.
And yes, all of this is common sense stuff, but it's also kinda like, "A checklist of not forgetting anything stuff" too.
Your focus right now, (and this is just me wearing the support person cap) is getting everything ready for the plane ride home, and being as relaxed as possible with things that can distract yourself (only if needed) on the plane ride home.
.
When you get home, try to get some rest.
And whatever you feel AFTER you get rest, like whatever your mood is after all of this is over, we'll be here for you.
thank you so much you are an amazing support person. It’s so hard for me to stay in the moment and not worry about the future. The last time I went on a trip I was anxious for weeks after. I know that trip isn’t the same as my last trip but I can’t help but be fearful that I’ll feel that way. It’s so hard for me to focus on the moment. I’m also very anxious about getting covid.
Im so sorry that you are struggling yourself. If you ever need someone to talk to I’m always here

You know, I may take you up on that down the road in a PM, because there are things that you have written in your past that I feel as well. (nothing major, just more of like, "Hey I do that too" kinda stuff were we both can feel "relatable" about how we think at times)
.
But, I noticed in your posts that you went to a concert recently and that went well, there's a nice positive counter to any current negative thoughts that you are having.
So you have that, which is a nice positive counter, and (again) let's keep the focus of one thing, getting you home safe and relaxed.
