hello, I’m new to this page but figured I would try it out. Does anyone have their anxiety manifest very physically? Dizziness, nausea, tunnel vision etc?

Hi! Welcome to our forum. I think physical symptoms differ from person to person. I have the dizziness and nausea too. I don't think I've ever had the tunnel vision. The link has lots of good information about anxiety symptoms.

Welcome! And, my goodness, yes. I'm having a panic attack as I type (trying to cope). It brings with it nausea, dizziness, rapid heart rate, and more. My panic attacks manifest very physical. I use my grounding techniques, I like the 5 senses technique. I hope you have a better day. Hug 🫂

thank you! It helps knowing other people have the physical symptoms, and what they do to combat them. I could definitely practice the grounding techniques more!! I’ve been trying meditation and an app called The Tapping Solution which has been helpful (I do the free version).

Oh I like tapping too. I've recently got into EMDR, it's quite helpful 😌 🙂

I love your avatar btw! 😍

Hi LuddysWorld and Welcome to a caring and supportive community.

I use to have (and the word is use to) all of your symptoms and more.

As I got to understand the correlation between the Mind and the Body

Connection, it started to make more sense why I was feeling the way I was.

Not fearing the physical symptoms caused by our fear will allow the adrenaline

levels to lower. Working on your Breathing techniques is another way in reducing

the "fight or flight" issue.

I'm happy you have joined us today as we learn from each other's journey.

One day at a time and hopefully, you will obtain more control over your Anxiety.

We are always here to help you through this journey. :) xx

Yes. I get waves of heat in my upper body and head with a pins and needles feeling in my arms and shoulders. Also, severe feeling of dread and fear in my midsection like something bad is going to happen or has happened. Are you on any medication? I take a little and it seems to take the edge off and minimize the attacks when they come. Other things I do to minimize them:

-Don't resist the sensations in your body no matter how unpleasant.

-Do anything you can to get outside in nature and get exercise. This will help you with the next item.

-Try, Try, try to get enough sleep.

-Get a meditation or prayer habit going and do that often and definitely before bed. It takes awhile to for it to start helping but stay with it.

-Take vitamins B, E, and C supplements. We are not only what we eat but what we can absorb. Vitamins make more nutrients available to our bodies some of which do not absorb well.

-Start making art or get hobbies. I was amazed at how much this helped me.

-Do Yoga.

Hope this helps. Hang in there and goes as a river.
