tingling arm

eughhhh another problem. The past few days my anxiety has been quite bad but I’ve tried to keep it to myself and today has just been the icing on the cake. This afternoon I noticed a tingling feeling in my RIGHT fore arm. Not numb just a strange mild tingling feeling but enough to send my mind into over drive. Fearing the worst that I have a blood clott or could be about to have a heart attack. It comes and goes and sometimes in my right shoulder too. It wasn’t there when I first woke up this morning just gradually this afternoon I noticed it while I was on the computer. It’s debilitating and today I did break, I cried and sobbed because I genuinely felt like I couldn’t do this anymore, there’s always something wrong. I’ve also left it too late to call my GP so would have to phone out of hours. Sorry for ranting and rambling. It’s just one of those really bad days for me :(

When you are so anxious you unconsciously tense the muscles in your neck and shoulders which can lead to all kinds of weird feelings. Try to do a full body scan to see if it helps There are a lot of them online. They might help you unknot your muscles.

tingling like you describe is something that's happened to me. I checked out ok but was told my depression and anxiety especially can cause this. I've noticed everything hurts more and I notice every feeling in my body when I'm into a bad anxiety spell. I was told to stay busy and especially do some outdoor activities. Sometimes it helps but I have to push myself to get up and do something. Good luck to you and I hope this resolved quickly.

I also have tingling in my right arm. Usually it is the whole arm from the shoulder to the wrist and sometimes even goes into my hand. I was told by my Dr. that it is caused by anxiety, I have had it for about 4 months and haven't taken a stroke yet so I guess he is right!!

You could go to Emergency Care since you said it was debilitating.

Hi Littlechopsxo Since you were on the computer when this happened,

take a look at how you are sitting as well as are you using a mouse.

It could very well be coming from the position your arm and wrist are in. :) xx

Yeah that's sounds somewhat similar to what happened to me the other night but with my legs. I would be ok during the day but when I go to bed my legs just had this very weird tingling sensation, I didn't do anything to cause it , so my mind was thinking a bunch of "what if" thoughts so my stupid anxiety decided to take over and drive me crazy. I eventually calmed down after about an hour maybe but it was weird for me. I hope you're doing better. 🙏
