Feeling like a ping pong ball

I posted about a month ago that I had a severe anxiety attack the morning after Easter and felt drained and awful for a week or so after. Then life got really busy again and I've been doing fine the last few weeks. Last week, at my work, we received word that the county made an unsolicited and very nice offer to buy the building we're in. Many of us here have worked in this building for over 20 years so it's our home away from home and we're all family here. It was a huge shock. Now we know that we'll likely move to another smaller building in town since this is where our company started 107 years ago. That news came the morning of the day we attended the funeral of the wife of one of our co-workers. Not a good day. That along with a few other things....fast forward to last night. I woke up at 2:30 having an anxiety attack. I was hot, cold, sweating, shaky and heart racing. After 20 minutes or so it subsided enough to go back to sleep. Tomorrow morning my husband and I are leaving for Arizona for a week to visit my parents. I'm excited but also hoping for no more anxiety attacks. I want to have fun instead of amped and drained at the same time.

Sounds like you are dealing with a lot in a short period. It can build up. Though I am glad you are just moving to a different building and not being laid off. Hang in there. You can get through this.

wow. That’s amazing. Your company has been around for 107 years? Focus on persevering the legacy of the business during its move. Think about all the employees that were there before you. Take pride in the new location, it will be home for another 107 yrs.
