We tend to forget that happiness isn’t the result of getting what we don’t have But recognizing and appreciating what we do have.
What are you thankful for?
I’m thankful for the trust in God/The Universe/Spirit Guides and belief I have today that things are working out. ❤️
I’m thankful for my therapist for helping me see that I can’t prepare for the future the way I try to and that I need to trust in the process of life unfolding how it will be without me controlling. ❤️
I’m thankful for this day with the bright sun and breezes; a perfect combo. ❤️
I’m thankful for my quiet time to myself. ❤️
I’m thankful for all of you here on HU. ❤️
Wishing beautiful and magical moments to you. ❤️

Totally agree with you and there are a lot of things I am thankful for but my baseline for thankfulness is all the things that I can still do for myself that many take for granted every day. As the old saying goes “You don’t know what you’ve got till it’s gone”
So true! I think the physical things we are used to doing- it’s a big deal and can be taken for granted. … arms, legs, and their movement; sight, hearing, the heart and the human brain… we could go on and on. ☺️ Thanks for contributing Xene
Exactly! I know there are people on here that suffer with their mental health and some with physical health too and sometimes I’d like to respond by saying “Try making a list of all the things you can still do for yourself” but I feel that some might not really appreciate it in the way that it’s meant.🤷♀️
I'm thankful for each new day I am given, with all its trials and tribulations.
Today however, has been difficult. Really bad hayfever, disorientation, trouble with movement. After breakfast, I went back to bed and slept for about 3 hours. Unusual.
I was supposed to be going out with a friend, but had to call and say I was feeling too groggy to walk around at a big Fayre. Even this evening, I'm feeling a bit Bleurgh!
Oh so sorry. I hear ya. I hope things improve soon for you. I’m feeling sick today and everything I do takes great effort. I am deciding now it’s the kind of day that I need to stop doing and just be in. I’ll go to bed and listen to the thunder and rain.
As much as I despise myself, my family keep showering me with love. What do they see in me that I can't? Whatever it is it keeps me moving forward and I am so grateful for their love and support; it stops me from causing myself harm and hurting the people I love most
