The past 5 days have been overcast, rainy, and chilly. My poor dog has had an irregular schedule due to the weather, so I told her I would take her for a special walk in the park once the sun came out. Mostly I take her for walks around the neighborhood. The weather was also taking a toll on my mood, so the walk was just as much for me as it was for her. Well, today the sun came out and there isn't a cloud in the sky! It is still chilly, but I am so happy to see the sun. Thank you, sun, for coming out today. I accomplished two major things today: getting out of the house, and going to a public area for an extended amount of time. I wanted to share this for those of you who may need a little extra light today
Thank You, Sunshine :) : The past... - Anxiety and Depre...
Thank You, Sunshine :)
Beautiful post. I feel warmer after reading 😉 thanks for sharing and great accomplishments
It is amazing to me how many of us have four-legged friends...and I wonder if they realize just how much we depend on the unconditional love they give.
Our issues seem to also make us very compassionate, caring people. I assume because we know how real the pain can be.
Enjoy this beautiful day.
Scratch your pup in his favorite spot for me. Tell him or her I sent it for being there for you.
My life would be unbearable without mine.
God bless.
Thank you, Dominic! Her name is Leah and she is my world. We adopted her from our local animal shelter 5 years ago and she will be turning 7 in April. She is a small rat terrier-chihuahua mix. She never left my side when I went through my worst depressive episode and I am forever grateful for that. I believe animals have a way of understanding what we are going through. I agree with you that my life would be unbearable without her, so I enjoy the time that I do have her <3
God bless you, as well.
I have 2 Boxers...go ahead and laugh...Tater and Mater.
They are ill-mannered, disobediant, neighborhood scourges.
And the love of my life.
And yes they know we are hurting.
They have seen me at my worst and never left my side.
God bless you...and me...and them.
Oh my goodness I just laughed so hard. That is absolutely precious. I literally laughed out loud that is so precious. Wheew. OK. Gathering myself now, lol. I am happy to hear that you have Tater and Mater by your side, they sound like wonderful companions.
Thank you for a lovely uplifting post and a beautiful pic. Big thumbs up for getting out and enjoying the sun and coping so well.
Thank you Jane for sharing some sunshine. It is a cold, gloomy day here in
Chicago. Love the pic. xx
Beautiful picture! I was super unmotivated today but my husband convinced me to get out with him to walk the dogs. I felt better afterwards. It’s so good to get outside
That's awesome. Are you in the eastern US? Sun came out here in Virginia for the first time today.
Well yes I am neighbor, I am in NC
Hahaha. Funny! I'm in northwest VA near Winchester. Its about an hour west of DC.
Lol, what are the chances we would be neighbors?! Topsail Island/Surf City area, coastal NC for me. Does Camp Lejeune sound familiar to you at all? If not, we are along the coast between the Morehead City and Wilmington.
I am in the NC foothills just south of Boone.
Howdy neighbors!
Such a beautiful area, Dominic. I have some relatives in the Saluda area. Blueridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Looking Glass Falls are some definite fav's. Oh man, and Sliding Rock!! So many wonderful memories there. Howdy back at ya
Thanks for sharing a nice story.
